We love using BreakoutEDU to begin a unit. The activities usually take one class period. Click the links below to get the primary sources we use in each of our Breakouts. Remember that you may need to customize depending on the type of locks you have.
How to make your own breakout:
1. Collect locks and a lockable box.
2. To use multiple locks, you will need a hasp.
3. Assess your locks. What kinds of combinations do you have? Common ones are 3-digit, 4-digit, and 5-letter.
